Hello my book friends, I’m so excited to share with you all my May book haul. It was a great month of new books and I went crazy. I purchased most of them, one was birthday gift and another came in my May Bookloot Box.
Like most bookaholics I was most excited for A Court of Wings and Ruin!
OMG Feyre, Rhys and Tamlin all over again. I wont spoil anything but omg I am loving it so far. If you have not read this series yet you need to start, It has become one of my favorites.
Always and Forever Lara Jean is another most anticipated this year for me. I love this contemporary love story so much. This book is the conclustion to the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before series. Again I dont want to spoil anything on this one since its the third and final book but if your into cute love storys this is a good one.
The Sacrifice of Sunshine Girl is the third book in The Haunting of Sunshine Girl series. Its about a girl that discovers that she can see and speak to ghost and her trying to come to tearms with it. I love me a good ghost store.
This one makes me super happy it completes my Lunar Chronicles series. Stars Above is The Lunar Chronicles Collection by Marissa Meyer it has five stories going into a bit more detail about Cinder, Wolf and everyone in the series and I can’t wait to start it.
This one I happened to come across by an email I was sent by Penguin Random House. It had a snippet of the first chapter and I really liked it. The One Memory of Flora Banks by Emily Barr.
17 year old Flora Banks has no short-term memory her mind resets itself several times a day and has since the age of 10 when the tumor that was removed from Flores brain took with it her ability to make new memories. That is until she kisses Drake her best friend’s boyfriend the night before he leaves town miraculously this one memory breaks through Flores fractured mind and sticks. Flora is convinced that Drake is responsible for restoring her memory and making her whole again so when an encouraging email from Drake suggest she meet him on the other side of the world Flora knows with certainty that this is the first toward reclaiming her life.
It’s different to anything I have read recently and it just seems amazing and I can’t wait to start it.
With a quicksilver tongue and an unruly temper, Sage Fowler is not what they’d call a proper lady which is perfectly fine with her. Deemed unfit for a sensible marriage Sage is apprenticed to a Matchmaker and takes with wrangling other young ladies to be married off for political alliances. She spies on the girls and on the soldiers escorting them.
As the military escort senses a political uprising, Sage is recruited by a handsome soldier to infiltrate the enemy ranks. The more she discovers the more uncertain she is for whom to trust and Sage becomes caught in a dangerous balancing act that will determine the fate of her kingdom.
With secret identities and tempestuous romance The Traitor’s Kiss is full of intrigue, espionage and lies.
The Trairor’s Kiss by Erin Beaty sound like a bad ass chick book. I received this one in my May BookLoot Box. I’m excited for it.
Burial Rites by Hannah Kent was gifted to me. I have never heard of this book before but it’s about a girl that is charged with the murder of two men. Seems like a fun summer night read.
This was a great month for new books an I was super lucky to get my hands on them. Can’t wait to get to read them all.
