It’s not a lie if you can’t remember.

Hello my book friends, today I will be reviewing The One Memory Of Flora Banks. I first heard about this book via an email newsletter with what I think the first chapter was included. I was hooked and needed to get my hands on it to know what was going to happen. (Getting a sign copy was a bones)

This book follows 17-year-old Flora Banks who at the age of 10 developed a brain tumor, when they removed it her memory was effected. She has Anterograde Amnesia, this prevents her from making new memory’s. She  can remember her parents, her brother, her best friend Paige and how to do basic things however she can’t remember anything new. The story starts to take off when Flora remembers kissing Paige’s ex-boyfriend Drake on the beach. Since he made her remember she believes that being with him will make her memory come back.

I liked the idea of this book, it was like nothing I have ever read before, the story line was ok but I did have trouble with the writing being choppy. We are reading it as her prospective and I understand she is basically 10 years old but it was repetitive at times and that would annoy me. I also didn’t like the way some of the characters treated Flora, or the insta-love aspect of it. I did however like the way it ended.

I gave this book a 3 out of 5 stars.

If you read this book please let me know what you thought about it.
